“Marian immediately understood the brief that we gave her to restore the character of the garden to match the style of our Queenslander house to build, in stages, a series of different garden rooms. Each area offered a different experience, and yet still formed a coherent whole garden.

We are thrilled with the result. Each of the gardens offers different plants, colors and perfumes throughout the year. Marian has gone to great lengths to find unusual plants that were once a common feature in early twentieth century gardens.

Prior to Marian’s involvement we were very disappointed in the garden we were presented with. Lovely old fashioned, well established plants had been pulled up to allow house renovations to take place and we had hoped to see the character of the garden restored along those lines. Instead, the planting was unimaginative and failed to thrive.

With Marian’s input the garden is now what we had hoped for and we are enjoying it greatly.”
